Libraries, technology and gaps in my knowledgebase

As a current grad student, I find myself facing one of the most challenging periods of entering the library profession.  Blogs, wikis, social media, and more are just some of the categories (not even the specific software tools) that I need to know to be competitive.  While some of my cousework has exposed me to the basic concepts of HTML, etc., my own testing, exploring, and playing provides me the greatest forum for learning more about these tools.  Although I love hearing myself speak, I also aim to have this blog be a repository for information related to library and technology topics for others to use.  My first project exemplifies the need for a centralized resource for tagging and compiling my research (and hopefully the resources of others).
